Saving Our Planet, One Gallon at a Time
Our vision is to introduce the world to a fuel that's renewable, sustainable, and eco-friendly in its production. We are driven by the knowledge that our success will not only be our own; it will help protect the earth from global warming and free our nation from oil dependencies.
A New Life for Plants, and for Us
Renewable energy is like a riddle. The more you study it, the more surprising its revelations. The very thing to save our planet, as it turns out, is our planet. The earth's natural resources – plentiful and pure – can be turned into clean fuel. At Range Fuels, our focus is on plant matter (or biomass), which cannot be used for food and currently serves no useful purpose. Humble items deemed waste products by the agriculture industry – such as timber harvesting residues, corn stover (stalks that remain after the corn has been harvested), sawdust, paper pulp, hog manure, municipal garbage, and more – can be converted into cellulosic ethanol.
What we use is just as important as how we use it. Our modular distribution system not only offers highly efficient ethanol production, but enables us to place our facilities near biomass sources, minimizing transportation energy from the equation. Everything we do, everything we use, and everything we create is evaluated by one simple question: have we taken no more than we have returned?
